President Trump will vote early in the state of Florida before campaigning in three battlefield states on Oct. 24.
Trump will vote early in person in West Palm Beach, near his Mar-a-Lago mansion, after moving his permanent residence and voter registration from New York to Florida last year. Florida is a battleground state that the president of the United States must win if he wants to be re-elected.
“I’m here to vote,” he told a campaign supporter in the city of Pensacola on the night of October 23, one of two Florida campaign locations.
Ten days before the official elections, some 53.5 million Americans voted early, a figure that led to a prediction that this year’s voter turnout will hit a record in more than 100 years, according to data from the American Electoral Project.
Early voters showed interest in Americans over a confrontation between Trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden, concerns about crowds on Election Day, and the danger of Covid-19 infection.
Trump, who frequently condemned voting by mail as fraud without providing proof, voted using this form in two elections that took place after he moved to Florida, including the election. Preliminary president in March and state elections in August.
Biden is still ahead of Trump’s national polls, but a close race in the battlefield states will determine the election results. Trump will go to three of these states to campaign after the early voting, including North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Biden and Lady Jill will also intensify their campaign on the battlefield state of Pennsylvania with two events today. Former President Barack Obama will campaign in Florida for his second appearance on behalf of the former vice president, after arriving in Pennsylvania in the middle of the week. Biden’s polls show that Biden is ahead of Trump by a small gap in Pennsylvania.
The Democratic candidate will also campaign in Philadelphia’s Bucks and Luzerne counties with rocker Jon Bon Jovi. Trump easily won at Luzerne in 2016 against Hillary Clinton and lost to the Bucks.
