“Statistically, I cannot have failed in the 2020 elections,” Trump posted on Twitter.
President Trump also confirmed that there would be “Big rally in DC on January 6. Stay there, it will be fierce!”
January 6 is the day the United States Congress meets to approve the results of the electoral college presidential election. The electorate voted for President-elect Joe Biden on December 14.
But Trump and his campaign did not accept the results and presented many legal challenges. So far almost all of them have failed.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court dropped a Texas lawsuit that sought to nullify millions of votes in key states.
Trump’s legal team has said it intends to continue to raise legal challenges, but experts say they have little chance of success.
Some of Trump’s allies have planned to hold a parliamentary debate on the election results.
However, these plans are at a serious disadvantage when Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell asked his fellow Republicans not to oppose the results of the Jan.6 election.
