This morning, international weather stations like Japan, Hong Kong … had a relatively unified judgment on Typhoon No. 12 when they said that the storm reached the highest intensity at sea with strong 8 – level 9 winds.
Until 7:00 p.m. tonight, the center of the storm is expected to be about 230 km east of the coast of the provinces from Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan. Near the center of the storm, winds are strongest at magnitude 9, impact level 11.
For the next 24 to 48 hours, the storm moved westward, about 15 km every hour, inland from Phu Yen to Ninh Thuan, weakening into a tropical depression and then a pressure zone. short.
According to the Office of the Central Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Natural Disasters, localities that have storm response scenarios go inland with strong winds of level 8 – level 11, ready to evacuate 103,644 households with 403,426 people.
The provinces from Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan have planned 10 storm signal flares. Specifically, Binh Dinh Province 1 point, Phu Yen 1 point, Khanh Hoa 3 points, Ninh Thuan 3 points, and Binh Thuan 2 points.
Chairing the meeting, Mr. Tran Quang Hoai, Permanent Member of the Central Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Natural Disasters, Director General of the General Department of Prevention and Control of Disasters (MARD), said that the flares are lit so far still scarce.
Mr. Hoai suggested contacting localities to supplement the firing point and tonight he will simultaneously fire flares along the coast to warn fishermen and boats at sea when the storm is near shore. In addition, Mr. Hoai asked to urge the localities to activate the evacuation plan.
“The office must have an official letter urging the locality to immediately evacuate people to a safe place, first of all, the area directly affected by the storms; while in stormy, flooded and flooded areas, the conditions for evacuation are prepared, ”said Mr. Hoai.
Responding to storms and storms, dangerous natural disaster complex
Also according to Mr. Mai Van Khiem, after Typhoon No. 12, Typhoon No. 13 is expected to hit the central provinces immediately when a tropical depression has appeared in the eastern waters of the Philippines.
In the next 24 hours, this tropical depression is forecast to turn into a storm and enter the South China Sea, becoming typhoon number 13 this year. This will be a strong 11th magnitude storm in the South China Sea. Forecast for November 14, Typhoon No. 13 directly affects the central provinces.
Mr. Tran Quang Hoai said that recent rains, floods and storms have made it difficult to restore and rebuild infrastructure in the central region. Many families saw their houses collapsed, damaged by storms and could not be restored, so people still had to stay in a temporary evacuation site.
Through current assessments, the Central region will suffer 2 consecutive storms, the coping conditions must be prepared for storms and storms, not excluding consecutive rains after the storm continues to appear as a natural combination. I’m just as dangerous as it happened last time.
Consequently, Mr. Hoai requested the Central Steering Committee for the prevention of natural disasters to notify the localities to prepare the response conditions, especially the essential needs.
On the islands, the locality must have an additional plan that ensures the feeding and feeding of tourists during their stay to avoid two consecutive storms, Typhoon 12 and Typhoon No. 13.
