According to Mr. Bui The Nhan, Secretary and Chairman of the Phu Quy Island District People’s Committee, among the 13 crew members found by the functional forces, 2 crew members were killed. No 2 crew members found yet. However, authorities must obtain confirmation from Captain Xin Hong of the identities of the victims to accurately confirm that the ship’s crew member Xin Hong was in danger.
There is currently no Xin Hong ship crew list, only the 15 crew members have 11 Chinese citizens, 4 Vietnamese people. They are all on the same journey transporting 7,800 tons of clay from Malaysia to Hong Kong – China. When I reached the waters near Phu Quy Island, I had an accident.
Currently, Area 3 Maritime Search and Rescue Center rescue ship SAR 413, Coast Guard ship 6007 and Binh Thuan Border Guard ship are searching together for the missing crew. The wind waves in the waters of Phu Quy are at level 7, shock level 8, the sea level rises 4-5 meters.
The Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee also instructed the Phu Quy Island District People’s Committee to organize reception and medical care for survivors and surviving crew members.
