This is the first time that the Secretary General and President of State, Nguyen Phu Trong, has participated in sending a message to the General Assembly of the United Nations, expressing the message at the highest levels of the Party and the State on politics outside of Vietnam. High-level week 75 The UN General Assembly, including the 75-year general session of the General Assembly and other high-level conferences, will take place in the form of a combination online and in person at United Nations headquarters in New York, USA from September 21 to October 2.
In addition to the participation of Secretary General and President of State Nguyen Phu Trong, other leaders of Vietnam will join together to deliver messages to these conferences.
Specifically, on September 21, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will send a message to the session of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations.
On October 1, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, plans to send a message to the High-Level Session to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women.
On October 2, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pham Binh Minh, plans to send a message to the High Level Session to mark the International Day and completely eliminate nuclear weapons.

2020 marks the second time that Vietnam has become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
Korean Foreign Minister made an official visit to Vietnam

At the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung Wha paid an official visit to Vietnam from September 17 to 18.
This is the second official visit to Vietnam by the Korean Foreign Minister, taking place in the context of an ongoing and developing strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea.
Korea remains the most important economic partner of Vietnam and promotes economic consolidation between the two countries.
During his visit to Vietnam, the Korean Foreign Minister paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on the afternoon of September 17 and held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on 18 of September.
