According to the police, the suspects threatened Mr. Marugov and his partner, tried to blackmail and allegedly torture him before killing him, and then fled. Investigators added that the attackers tied up the couple and then fired a crossbow into Mr. Marugov’s chest.
The woman tries to escape through the window and calls the police. However, when law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene, Mr. Marugov had died from his injuries, while the two suspects fled.

The local police discovered that 2 men in a car should proceed to chase them. Both men got out of the car with the crossbow inside and ran to escape. On November 2, investigators arrested one of the two suspects.
Although the Russian authorities have not announced the identity of the detainee, the local newspaper MK reported that his name was Alexander Mavridi, 49, from Kazakhstan. This name has lived in the Krasnodar area for a long time.
Marugov is known as the “King of Sausages” in Russia because he owns two Ozyorsky sausages and the Meat Empire. The businessman is said to be in a property dispute with his ex-wife, the poet Tatyana Marugova. His 25-year-old son Alexander was killed in a motorcycle accident last year.
On the Instagram social network account, Marugova described the murder of her ex-husband as “cruel” and prayed for the souls of Mr. Marugov and his son.
