The series of events celebrating “Examples of the Silent Glow for the Community” are organized to honor typical people who have made many contributions to the community in the field of social security and health, such as: Bao social assistance, reduction of poverty, gender equality, prevention of social ills, charity …

The examples chosen to commend all have for decades been the work of helping poor children and single people; caretaker of the cemetery of the martyrs; people have repeatedly donated blood to save people; the doctor acted bravely to save lives during the Covid-19 epidemic; people who have many contributions in community work …

Sharing in the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan – Bac Ninh Da Lieu Hospital said that she was very touched because she met the Prime Minister for the first time.

Ms. Xuan said that since she was a child, she was always curious about what leprosy was. “But growing up, I met patients with leprosy. Many people have no legs, no arms, so living life is very difficult. I love them, every day I help them in their daily activities.” .

After that, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan studied nursing to learn about caring for leprosy patients. In the process of caring for leprosy patients, Ms. Xuan helped build 200 houses for the patient, financed 173 families (VND 8-10 million), and donated cars to the patient’s children.

Thanks to the help of Ms. Xuan, so far, many leper children have been educated, they have become cadres and public officials …
