Minnesota Patrol Police said Dec. 3 that a single-engine Bellanca Viking aircraft “made an emergency landing” on the night of Nov. 2 on Interstate 35, a major highway in the city of Arden Hills. Minneapolis, Minnesota area.
Upon landing, the plane crashed into a car, causing traffic congestion for many hours. However, fortunately, no one was injured.
Authorities identified Craig Gifford, 52, of Minneapolis as the plane’s pilot, but did not say if there were other people on the plane. The reason for the emergency landing has also not been announced.
After closing time for troubleshooting, the road reopened on the morning of December 3. Minnesota police are investigating the incident.
