Just returning from Hanoi, Mr. Bui Cong Hiep (62 years old, living in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City) was eager to return to the capital. He said that, on long trips, he was not tired but only remembered more than 100 of his children.

He has been known for a long time as a special volunteer. Because he transferred all his property worth more than 100 billion VND to the children in dire circumstances that he adopted. He said that he left these assets to his children, so he has no regrets.

He shared: “I’m over 60 years old, kids should call me after grandpa. But I want them to call me dad so they can see that they have a dad like any other child. In addition, this call helps me to remind myself that I must fulfill the responsibility of a true father to my children.

“That means having to support, teach and take care of the children, not only throwing money at the babysitters to take care of them, but not caring how they treat the children. In the spirit of a father who cares for his children, despite being an older man and director of the Angel Child Sponsorship Center (District 9, Ho Chi Minh City), he is dedicated to caring for more than 100 children every day. Your day starts at 4:30 am

That was the moment he and the facility staff woke up to care for the babies. After feeding the children, he urged them to clean up, change clothes, and take them to school. In the afternoon, he went to the school to pick up the children. At night, he silently watched his children study gifted subjects, then waited for them to go to bed before going to his own room for a nap.

Last year, he said, the facility had just 88 babies. Now this place has become the common home of 121 children, young and old. Unwilling to let his children live in a crowded and crowded house, he decided to build a spacious house behind the old house.

The house is built according to a solid and modern architecture, 3 stories high, 800m2 wide with many large and small rooms. The great hall of the house was empty, without space. This place focuses on gifted classes, playground.

In front of the spacious house there is a blue swimming pool, built according to national standards. After each lesson, the children have teachers who come to teach swimming. On the weekends, this place turns into a fun place with exciting games for children.

Mr. Hiep said that the previous two jobs cost him and his family more than VND 7 billion. Not only that, when deciding to invest in modern facilities for the house of the Angel, he encountered objections from relatives.

He said: “At first my wife disagreed and said it was too wasteful to invest in a national standard pool priced at more than 1.5 billion VND. I explained that this is my investment in my son. When I think that babies are my children, that they don’t take care of others, I feel light ”.

“Parents who don’t want the best for their children. Later when she came here the kids kept mandarin and called “mommy, mommy” so she loved them and agreed to invest. My family just bought more than a dozen hectares of land in Lam Dong. I intend, in the summer, to take the children for an experience that is both educational and picnic, ”added Mr. Hiep.

New facility and receiving more children, especially newborn babies, Mr. Hiep said he also had to hire more babysitters and teachers. The facility currently has up to 15 babysitters. Possessing a spacious facility, Mr. Hiep immediately organized skills and abilities classes for his children at home.

He shared that the institution signed a contract with the most prestigious music training organization in Vietnam for children to attend, take piano courses, organ…. These classes will be held in the children’s home.

“In addition, our children also receive a computer programming class. Since I still can’t open classes, invite teachers to teach, I have to take my children to District 1 to learn computers, ”he added.

Mr. Hiep said that although he volunteered quietly, the community and authorities at all levels recognized it. This makes him very happy and happy. He said: “I am very happy and respect the hearts of the readers, the people, the authorities at all levels, who have trusted in our work.”

“From this point of view, I always think that I will try to do more to take care of my children. I continue to appreciate many future projects for my children and I keep trying to improve, ”he added.

One of them is a project to train children to become “little soldiers”. This project, he said, is still being worked on. She always wished that when she grew up, all her children would become soldiers and uncles.

“I always think, when children grow up to fulfill their obligations to the country, then consider professional development… So right now, we have been interested in training. discipline and physicality for children, ”shared Mr. Hiep.

He said: “I train my children like this to increase endurance, physical strength. From a very young age like this, my children were trained in the military model. Every morning, the children went to march. During the operation, the children carried backpacks with rice inside. Younger children use backpacks containing 5 kg of rice, older children use 10 kg. “

“If the weather is good, the children will march outside the house, on the contrary, they will use their backpack to climb the stairs inside. I train my children in such a military style in the hope that when they are born they will first be confident and handle difficult situations on their own. After that, they can become good soldiers and soldiers when they are more professionally trained, ”Hiep said.
