Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Director of the Information Technology Department, has just been appointed Deputy Minister of Information and Communications.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung was born in 1983, he is a former student of High School Specializing in Mathematics – Hanoi University of Education, and former student of Hanoi University of Technology.

As a student, Mr. Dung received a full scholarship to study Information Technology at NTU University (Singapore). He is also one of the 10 typical young faces that have received the 2010 Golden Globe organized by the Central Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh.

During 13 years working in the Ministry of Information and Communications (formerly the Ministry of Post and Telematics), Mr. Dung in turn went through the positions: Specialist, Deputy Head of Department, Head of Department, Secretary of Leadership of the Ministry, Deputy Director of the Information Security Department, Director of the Information Security Department and Director of the Computerization Department.

Mr. Dung has participated in the research, advising, presiding, editing and implementing the governing documents of the Party, the laws of the State, completing the legal corridor, the system of rules and technical regulations. on security and protection of the network of Vietnam. In which, typically the Network Information Security Law and its implementation guidelines.

Mr. Dung is also the advisor, editor and organization of the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program until 2025, with a vision for 2030 and helping Vietnam to increase 50 places in the world ranking of information security. information in the period 2017-2019.

According to Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Minister Nguyen Huy Dung is currently the only 8 times senior vice minister in Vietnam. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that he is a young and good quality officer, with many aspirations to dedicate himself, study well and be well trained.
