Information at the meeting said that the newly discovered positive case released this afternoon (BN1347) is directly related to BN1342 (announced on the afternoon of 11/29).

Previously, during isolation in the quarantine area administered by Vietnam Airlines (No. 115 Hong Ha, District 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) from November 14 to 18, BN1342 had contact with the aforementioned colleague. other flights (BN1325).

After 2 negative tests, BN1342 was isolated at the inn (P305, 3rd floor, 50 Bach Dang, Room 2, Tan Binh District, HCMC). During the isolation, this patient had direct contact with 3 people, among them: Mother and two friends (a man and a woman). In which, the friend came to live (SN1988, who resides in Ward 3, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City).

On November 28, samples were taken from the patient 3 times, giving a positive result.

Immediately, the 3 previous cases of direct contact were isolated and sampled. Among them, the male friend tested positive (BN1347).

According to the results of the initial epidemiological investigation of BN1347, during the period of November 18 to 25, BN1347 taught at the KEY English English Center (59 Nguyen Ba Tuyen, Ward 12, Tan Binh District). another branch in District 10; to cafes and karaoke bars.

The total near exposure (F1) according to the baseline survey was 38 (isolated, sampled); The close contact case (F2) was 154 (of which 62 people in Tan Binh district and 92 people in district 10).

The director of the HCM City Health Department said he continues to urgently track, isolate and collect samples to test case-related cases.

At the meeting, the Minister of Health instructed the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department to urgently track all F1 and F2 cases from the above cases; Implement centralized isolation and sampling in all these cases.

At the same time, the Minister requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to urgently notify the people who came to the places where patients are present (such as teaching places, cafes, karaoke bars) to communicate immediately with the nearest medical agency. .

Proceed to temporarily block the places where the patient has come and implement antiseptic measures; All service personnel at places that provide patient services (such as cafes, karaoke) are required to take samples and request home isolation.

The Minister also called on all health facilities in Ho Chi Minh City to increase their vigilance, strengthen detection measures for all suspected cases; Strictly implement measures to prevent COVID-19 infection in medical establishments in accordance with regulations.

The Ministry of Health, the permanent agency of the National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19, requires Vietnam Airlines to comply with quarantine regulations at facilities that Vietnam Airlines has registered. The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi City, where Vietnam Airlines is located, closely verifies and monitors the quarantine process and prevents infection in the quarantine area.

In cases of home isolation, the Ministry of Health proposed to local authorities at all levels, especially local authorities, to strictly follow the supervision and monitoring of home isolation.
