The Ministry of Health announced 3 new cases of COVID-19, of which 2 cases were entered illegally

Consequently, 3 new cases (BN1452-1454) were isolated in Dong Thap (1 person), Ho Chi Minh City (2 people). As follows:

Case 1452 (BN1452): female, 31 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Lai Vung district, Dong Thap province. This is the case of Myanmar who entered illegally on the open road on December 24 (with BN1440, BN1451), and then returned to Dong Thap province.

Test results on December 27 at the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at the General Hospital Sa Dec.

Case 1453 (BN1453): male, 23 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in District 9, HCMC. This is the case of Myanmar who entered illegally on the open road on December 24 (with BN1440, BN1451, BN1452), and then returned to Ho Chi Minh City.

Test results on December 29 at the HCMC Center for Disease Control were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at the Cu Chi Field Hospital.

So far, 4 patients from this group of illegal entries have been discovered.

Case 1454 (BN1454): female, 8 years old, Vietnamese nationality. Patients from the United States who transited through Singapore and then entered Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight SQ178 on December 27 were isolated in Ho Chi Minh City right after their entry.

Test results on December 28 at the HCMC Center for Disease Control were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at the Cu Chi Field Hospital.

With 3 new cases, since the start of the Vietnam epidemic, there have been 1,454 COVID-19 patients, 1,319 of whom have recovered and were discharged from the hospital.
