According to C02, on the night of November 19, the police received news in the city of Kon Tum that a shooting had occurred, injuring one person. The victim was shot with an AK pistol, fortunately because the warhead hit the front obstacle, the victim had a hole in the stomach, there was no danger to his life. Immediately, the head of the Criminal Police Department ordered Division 6 (C02) to coordinate the investigation.
According to the leader of Division 6, from the beginning the investigation ran into many difficulties when both groups fled, the wounded Tran Duc Trong himself (24 years old) also sought to elude the police.
Through identification, due to the social conflict between Quang and Nguyen Xuan Huy (ie Huy Ven, 26 years old), Quang called many people from his group to bring machetes and clubs to the opponent’s house. Arriving at Huy’s house but unable to meet Huy, Quang’s group broke things and left. Huy knew that this story immediately dragged many people with weapons to take revenge.
The two groups met on the road, so they got into a fight. After that, Quang drove Tri on a motorcycle and ran away and was chased by many others. At this time, Tri sat behind, holding a gun and fired many shots at the group of people who were chasing him. The bullet hit the head of the motorcycle and went through Trong’s stomach, chasing after him. Trong was rushed to the emergency room by friends immediately.
After committing the crime, Quang fled to Vung Tau City (Ba Ria – Vung Tau) and Tri went to his inn in Dong Nai to hide. A day later, Tri took a car to Vung Tau to meet Quang.
After identifying the perpetrator, many from Recon 6 Division coordinated with the Kon Tum Provincial Police to arrest them. On the afternoon of November 27, scouts stormed the motel to arrest the two suspects.
At the investigating agency, Tri admitted that after the crime he threw the gun into the river. Currently, police are investigating and expanding the Kon Tum earthquake shooting.
