An Iranian warship suddenly launched a missile at another of the Gulf comrades, causing “many casualties.”
The Jamaran flagship launched a rocket during an exercise.
According to the Daily Mail, the error occurred in the Oman Sea. There were 40 Iranian soldiers missing in the incident. The incident may have caused many victims, Al Jazeera reported.
Iranian media reported that ISNA, a frigate, caused the C-802 Noor anti-ship missile incident during a military exercise. The rocket hit Konarak’s support ship.
The ship launched the wrong missile at an ally and was identified as a Moudge Jamaran. Jamaran has a displacement of 1,500 tons, equipped with 4 C-802 anti-ship missiles, a 76mm gunboat, 1 40mm anti-aircraft gun, 2 20mm caliber guns, 2 x 3 small torpedo tube launchers, 4 Mehrab missiles and 2 12.7 mm machine guns.
An unconfirmed video posted online shows that the injured sailors were brought ashore on the night of 10.5.
The C-802 Noor rocket was developed by Iran from the prototype of the Chinese C-802 rocket. This missile has a range of 170 km, activates the radar itself to find targets in the final phase.
