House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco is littered with garbage bags and a pig’s head on New Year’s Day.
The graffiti on Ms. Pelosi’s garage door on the early morning of 1/1/2021 was “$ 2,000”, “Cancel the rent!” and “We want everything,” apparently referring to Parliament’s refusal to increase the amount of the Covid-19 grant to the people from $ 600 to $ 2,000.
At noon the same day, the garage door was littered with black garbage bags. The vandals left streaks of fake blood and what appeared to be a pig’s head outside the house.
“There are so many unsolved problems. I think this is not a very effective way and a bad start to the new year,” said Audrey Carlson, a resident of Pacific Heights, San Francisco. 38 years old, talks about the incident.
It is unclear if Ms. Pelosi was home at the time of the vandalism, but there are many security cameras installed at the site.
“She has her own security force. She has congressional cops flying here from Washington,” said Fred Kennerley, an employee of a private security company hired to watch the neighborhood.
Kennerley added that this is not the first time that Ms. Pelosi’s home has been attacked. “Last time, they hung hair dryers and sundries in the trees,” he said.
San Francisco Police (SFPD) confirmed they had received a call to report the vandalism at 2 a.m. on January 1. “The unidentified suspects painted the garage door with graffiti and left a pig’s head on the sidewalk,” SFPD said.
Police are investigating the incident and asking people to provide information.
