According to the investigation agency, Thao tricked the couple, a close friend and also Thao’s client, into joining him in buying diamonds for resale. After that, Thao appropriated more than 10 billion VND from this man.

The investigating agency took the suspect to hospital for examination and treatment. Doctors diagnose patients with diabetes, gastro-duodenal disease, cerebrovascular disease, anxiety disorder.
The investigating agency spoke with the National Institute of Civil Engineering of the same level and agreed to allow the family to sponsor the defendant on bail for his treatment.
