Two years later, the two fell in love and rented an inn in Hoa Phu Commune, Long Ho District, Vinh Long to live together as husband and wife.
During this time, Khiem went to university in Saigon, while Tu attended the preschool pedagogical college in Vinh Long.

In 2019, Khiem graduated from university and had a degree in construction engineer, so it was easy to get a job in an interior decoration company and was assigned to supervise the construction work of schools in the district of Phu Tan (An Giang).
However, after completing his studies, he was unable to get a job and had to work as a laborer in the Hoa Phu Industrial Park.
In his spare time, Khiem returned to Vinh Long from An Giang to visit his lover. While T. was a worker, he fell in love with other young people. That Khiem didn’t know. As a worker for a time, T. applied to teach at a kindergarten in Can Tho.
In early 2020, Khiem and T. asked their families for permission to marry and be approved. Suddenly, Khiem’s family postponed the wedding.
At the time, T. blamed Khiem for not being able to take care of himself, so he asked to break up. At the same time, Khiem discovered that T. knew others, so she asked to break up with him.
T. disclosed his relationship with another young man and asked Khiem to break up with him so he could marry.
Khiem disagreed, but still went to the inn to meet T.
On June 8, 2020, Khiem went to T.’s room to find clothes and demanded sex with his lover, but he did not agree.
Khiem took control, strangling his neck with his hand until the victim’s reaction was only weak. After abusing the victim, Khiem thought that T. woke up and left with others, so he continued to strangle the victim until he died.
After committing the crime, Khiem repents and used many ways to commit suicide according to T.
After wearing new clothes and makeup for her lover, Khiem wrote a letter to her family and used electricity, sleeping pills, and a knife to commit suicide, but failed.

At around 5:00 am on June 9, 2020, Khiem regained consciousness and learned that he was not dead, so he called the police to report the incident.
Police arrived at the scene and took Khiem to the emergency room. After his recovery, Khiem made a candid statement to authorities. Khiem was tried and charged with murder and rape.
On December 4, 2020, the Vinh Long Province People’s Court sentenced the defendant Khiem to 12 years in prison for the two offenses mentioned above.
The cruel plan of man
In mid-2017, Vo Van Phong (40 years old, resident in Cai Tau Ha city, Chau Thanh district, Dong Thap) met and fell in love with NTP (41 years old, living in the same district).
Ms. P. returned to Phong’s home to live together as husband and wife, but did not register their marriage. Two years later, the two often contradicted each other and quarreled.
In early 2020, Ms P. went to live at her home in An Phu Thuan commune. Phong often goes to Mrs. T.’s house with the desire to heal her feelings. However, Ms P. always tried to avoid his face and did not meet Phong.

Phong learned that his half wife had another man, so he became angry and intended to ruin the beauty of Ms. P.
At that moment, Phong suddenly remembered that he was a warehouse manager for a construction company, when he brought 1.5 liters of acid to store in the house. Phong decided to take the acid above and splash it on his sister P.
On March 14, 2020, Phong called to ask Ms P. for coffee, but she refused. Ms. P. said that she was busy working in Cai Be (Tien Giang) district, but Phong doubted that his wife had gone to see another man, so he took the can of acid and ran to get her.
When he saw Ms. P. riding her motorcycle to the My Thuan Bridge, Phong followed her. Upon reaching the Tan Vinh Thuan village section (Tan Ngai Ward, Vinh Long City), Phong stopped Ms. P.’s car and the two people argued.
While talking back and forth, Phong used a can of acid to hit Ms. P. Feeling hot and burning, Ms. P. ran into a resident’s room to hide and used her hand to block the door.
Phong swept, ran after kicking the door to continue splattering the remaining acid on Sister P.
Ms. P ran out and then hid in someone else’s house. After committing the crime, Phong went to the Tan Ngai neighborhood police to confess.
The conclusion of the Vinh Long Forensic Center evaluation, Phong’s injury to Ms. P. was 58%.
Phong was charged with intentionally causing injury. On December 28, 2020, the Vinh Long City Court sentenced Phong to 4 years in prison.
