Around 20:00 tonight (September 4), on the Giang River Suspension Bridge (in Cho Chua Village, Phong Thinh Commune), there was a traffic accident between a car and a motorcycle.
The accident killed a person on a motorcycle at the scene, while the car crashed into a bridge and sank in the John River.

Receive the news, the functional forces quickly arrived at the scene, along with the people looking for victims. However, due to the dark and high waters of the river, the rescue work faced many difficulties.
At 22:00, the rescue team successfully recovered the car and the three victims who were riding in the car were killed.
The identities of 4 victims of bad luck were identified: Mr. Dao Van N. (SN 1994, resident of Thanh Lien Commune, Thanh Chuong District); Nguyen The T. (SN 1981), Le The A. (SN 1983) and Le Van Q. (SN 1976) reside in Thanh Nho Commune, Thanh Chuong District.

At 10:30 pm tonight, the rescue team recovered the body of Mr. Hoang Anh T. (SN 1992, resident of Thanh Lien commune) who was behind the motorcycle, increasing the number of fatalities to 5.
Mr. Nha said that the competent force is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
