Ban Phai District Police said the students during questioning said the principal had hugged and caressed the children. They also said that the director has repeatedly asked them if they need him for money and if they have a boyfriend.

The principal denied the allegations and blamed teacher Pawanamporn, who he said has always blamed him and the school. The principal also told the police that he could see what he was doing at the school through surveillance cameras.

In the short term, he was suspended from work and transferred to the Primary Education Office in Khon Kaen province while awaiting the results of the investigation.
