That night due to heavy rains and a landslide, the mission could not continue and rested at forest guard post 67 located on this road.
At approximately 0:00 on October 13, the earth and rocks were buried at Station 67. 13 people died at the mission. Another 8 escaped.
After many search efforts, at 7:20 p.m. on October 15, the bodies of the 13 soldiers and officers were found and taken to the 268 Military Hospital (Hue City) to prepare for the funeral.
