The General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam transferred all the “illegal files” on investment, tendering, construction and financial use of Ton Duc Thang University to the investigation agency.

Regarding the resolution of the complaint of Mr. Le Vinh Danh (former Rector of the Ton Duc Thang University), the representative of the General Confederation of Labor said that he still had the dismissal decision, after reviewing the entire case, assessing mitigating and aggravating circumstances.
At the request of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the General Confederation of Labor also referred the case of Mr. Danh’s personal rape to the competent agency for resolution.

The school uses the capital with the state budget, has the right to make investment decisions and is responsible for itself.
Currently, Ton Duc Thang University does not have a School Council after many times delaying the meeting to establish the council. The project of constitution of the School Council was elaborated by the directive team of the school, agreed with the natural members and representatives of the General Confederation of Labor.
Tomorrow, March 23, the school is expected to hold a conference to introduce key staff to elect the school council early next month.
The leadership of this school currently has 3 people, including the Undersecretary in charge of the Party Committee, the Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee and Mr. Tran Trong Dao – Vice Chancellor for the period 2014-2019.
