Some people experience a metallic taste in their mouth after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
So far in the UK, more than 28.9 million people have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccine, of which more than 2.7 million have received a second injection.
A report from MHRA (Medicines and Health Care Products) found that common side effects were flu-like symptoms, fatigue, headache, fever, and arm pain.

In the US, some people have a strong metallic taste in their mouth that lasts for many days after receiving the vaccine.
A few minutes after the Pfizer vaccination, John Howard (South Carolina) said he seemed to feel like upstairs. This 45-year-old wants his coffee to taste as normal as it used to.
Mr. Dave Bischel, 52, has the feeling of tasting nickel.
Paul Wartenberg, 50, was also haunted by a metallic taste for several hours after receiving the Moderna vaccine. After dinner, your taste buds are back to what they used to be.
In fact, says Dr. Zoe Williams, it’s good that vaccines have side effects.
“It’s normal to worry about side effects. But any vaccine can cause mild reactions that last a few days,” explained Dr. Williams.
“This is a good sign that the vaccine is working. Your immune system is ready to respond when the SARS-CoV-2 virus is attacking.
In large-scale trials, their vaccine is generally well tolerated in all age groups, the Pfizer scientists said. According to independent surveys, the effects are mild, not worrisome.
A report from Pfizer said the worst side effects were fatigue and headache, but only after the second dose.
Only 4% of people feel tired and 2% have a headache. Some people feel pain where the injection was given.
According to Dr. Sarah Jarvis, the side effects of the Pfizer vaccine so far have been mild.
All vaccines cause side effects in some people, he said. The reason is that they are designed to boost your immune system.
“As the immune system learns to fight invaders, many white blood cells go where they are needed and produce natural chemicals,” said Dr. Sarah.
That means that most vaccines, including flu shots, can cause mild redness and swelling around the injection site.
The Vaccine Knowledge Group in association with the University of Oxford says that vaccines work by activating your immune system to induce a response. You may have the same side effects after getting the vaccine that you get from a real infection.
The most common side effect associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine is arm pain, experienced by 67% of people who inject. Other reactions include chills, fever, joint pain, muscle aches, fatigue, and headache.
