When they saw thick smoke rising from the restaurant’s kitchen, the people present fled. But some people are still curious to go back to where the smoke came from to check. At that moment, the big explosion occurred.

The Daily Mail, citing local sources, said the blast occurred at lunchtime on November 18 in Miluo, a city in southern China’s Hunan province.
The Miluo Party Propaganda Committee said the explosion occurred at 12:40 pm at a restaurant in Xinshi City.
Video from security cameras circulating on social media showed horrific scenes in the explosion. A 42-second shot shows dense white smoke emanating from the area believed to be the restaurant’s kitchen.

Upon discovering something unusual, those present fled, but after a few seconds, some people decided to return, going to the place where the smoke was rising to check the situation without knowing the impending disaster.
As the group approached the kitchen, there was a sudden large explosion causing the entire restaurant to sink into a fireball. The video ends with people fleeing the store, in which a person catches fire with fire and clothing.

The second video posted by the Pear Video site shows the aftermath of the incident. People were seen gathering outside the destroyed restaurant after the blast as thick black smoke rose.
One man, believed to have just run out of the restaurant, had bleeding from his head and arm.

In a statement, the Miluo Party’s Propaganda Department confirmed that 34 people were injured by the blast, including one seriously injured. All were taken to hospital for treatment. An official from the city of Miluo reported that no people were killed in the blast. Local police and firefighters are investigating the cause of the incident.
Xiao Xiang Morning News reported that it was speculated that the cause of the explosion was a gas cylinder or pressure cooker in the kitchen area.
The city of Miluo is home to some 730,000 people. The town’s name is named after the Miluo River, which is famous for the boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival.
