On the 70th anniversary of its founding, Nguyen Gia Thieu High School (Hanoi) was honored to receive the Third Class Medal of Independence from the President of the State. Founded in 1950 in Bac Ninh Province, in 1951, Nguyen Gia Thieu High School moved to its current location at 27, Lane 298, Ngoc Lam Street, Long Bien District, Hanoi City. The school’s education ladder currently has 2,000 students with 95 officers, teachers, and staff members; 100% of the teaching staff have standard training qualifications, of which the percentage exceeds 55% of training qualifications.

In the past 10 school years (from the 2010-2011 school year to the 2019-2020 school year), Nguyen Gia Thieu High School has 20 teachers who won awards in the City’s Excellent Teachers Contest; the rate of qualified students with excellent academic performance increased from 25.27% to 61%. In particular, in the 2019-2020 school year, the entire school had 98.24% of students rated as excellent and good academics, an increase of 4.93% compared to the 2018-2019 school year.
