Ph.D. Ho Thi Thuong was born in 1991, working at the Institute of Biotechnology – Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
Ms Thuong is a co-author of an international patent in 2018, titled: Plant oligomeric vaccine using S-tag-S protein fusions (patent number WO / 2018.115305 A1, issued by the Foundation. Intellectual property worldwide).
Additionally, Ms. Thuong is also the lead author of 2 publications and co-author of 4 prestigious international publications. He graduated with a valedictorian from a faculty of the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture.

Phan Trong Hoang (Institute for Plant Genetics and Plant Research, IPK, Germany) are three authors who have invented a method to produce oligomeric protein in eukaryotic cells by co-expressing two fusion proteins in eukaryotic cells, consisting of a protein from S-Tag fusion, where the protein can be an antigen or antibody and an S-protein-tp fusion protein.
This invention aims to find an effective and rapid vaccination strategy, applicable to the development of vaccines, including the vaccine against avian influenza A / H5N1 and African swine fever.
Avian influenza is an acute infectious disease with a high rate of spread with high mortality rates among infected poultry. Avian flu recurs continuously every year with a rapid rate of spread and complicated development.

“I come from a farming family that did not make a fortune, but my parents always created the conditions for their children to have an excellent education. As a child, Thuong often wondered how to help her parents be less harsh. From housework to caring for livestock and poultry, you’re not afraid to get down to business.
Growing up, she was lucky enough to work and was guided by the village teacher Nguyen Quang Thach, inspired to research science (scientific research) in the field of biotechnology.
She thinks researching the vaccine to resist diseases in livestock and poultry is helping farmers like her parents.
Ms. Ho Thi Thuong shared the reason why she chose to work at the Institute of Biotechnology as: “Working in a research institute, I have received training and learned from my elders to accumulate experience so that I can develop in the future. Export directions research.

However, Ms. Thuong admits that after graduating from school, most of her peers choose to work in companies with relatively high starting salaries. She, who is the best exit student from college, was also offered to work in companies with much higher income, but chose to “join science.”
Ms. Ho Thi Thuong currently enjoys an average salary of around VND 3 million / month.
“The only thing, I am very sorry for my parents because from school until now, I have not had much money to send to my parents. Fortunately, my parents are very understanding and have never asked me for anything. Although the age is high, the elderly still work hard, ”said Ho Thi Thuong, crying emotionally.
When her emotions have subsided, Ms. Thuong has more data on the context of national scientific research and the real life of scientists.
“Scientists have more limitations than men in scientific research because they value limited time. Women have to give birth and take care of children and family … However, I always want to do it myself. It is not inferior to men, so we will do our best to organize the time, “said Ms Thuong.
She said that every day, she put her children to sleep around 10:00 p.m., then got up early at 3-4 a.m. to start work. During her time at the office, the 9X scientist is not distracted by the things young people often do, like browsing Facebook, watching entertaining videos … but she dedicates 100% of her focus to work to be productive. higher.
In order to have more income to fuel her passion for scientific research, Ms. Thuong tries to spend a tight time off to get more work outside the home.
