Sharing the difficulties of farmers in Hai Duong Province, a group of young people together with the Youth Union of District 4, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City rented a car to move more than 10 tons of cabbage to Ho Chi Minh City for ‘rescue’.
On the afternoon of February 23, hundreds of people, while passing by Phat Buu Pagoda, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, stopped in front of the sign “Agricultural Products Stand 0 VND, Rescue agricultural products to help people in Hai Duong Province “receive maize and donate” discretionary “money to help farmers in Hai Duong epidemic areas overcome difficulties.
Before that, Thai Nguyet Nhi’s group campaigned on Facebook and then, together with the District 4 Youth Union, District 3, mobilized young people who volunteered together. The total cost to implement this plan is over 40 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Phi (Undersecretary of District 4 of the Youth Union, District 3) said: “The convoy to rescue agricultural products for farmers in Hai Duong province has been authorized by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Hai Duong province in HCMC.
Upon receiving fresh cabbage, Ms. Thanh Thuy (who lives in District 3) excitedly said: “I am very happy to see young people organizing a rescue program of agricultural products to help their farmers. In the difficult situation of the epidemic, these actions are small but extremely significant.”
The group is expected to continue to import carrots and kohlrabi from Hai Duong in the next two days to help farmers because the amount of remaining agricultural products is very large, which needs the cooperation of the people of the country in HCMC people in general in particular.
