Senator Sasse said Paxton’s lawsuit was nothing short of groundbreaking in an attempt to challenge election law and that his arguments have been thrown out by state courts, according to the report. Washington Examiner.
Sasse also said that Attorney General Paxton’s lawsuit is actually a game of self-polishing to find a way to get President Trump to order an amnesty.

Attorney General Paxton is currently the subject of an FBI investigation into an alleged misuse of his position to benefit a real estate company in the city of Austin, the capital of Texas.

Senator Sasse, who represents Nebraska, is among 17 states that support Mr. Paxton’s petition. On January 8, Sasse issued a statement congratulating former Vice President Joe Biden on winning the 2020 U.S. presidential election, according to the newspaper. Omaha World Herald.
Earlier in October, Trump criticized Sasse as “inferior” after he criticized the leader of white supremeism and Covid-19.
