The merit, talent and contribution of Uncle Truong Vinh Trong (dear Ben Tre they call him Hai Nghia), former member of the Politburo, former Deputy Prime Minister, for the national liberation revolution, for the development of the country in general and for the homeland Dong Khoi Ben Tre in particular has been recognized by the Party, the State, books and newspapers, so I do not repeat. I only risk recording my little memories and my sincere feelings for him.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong passed away

The day I graduated from school and started working in the government in 1988, Uncle Hai Nghia was also about to move to Central Vietnam. My father (the scholar Huy Khanh, often called Mr. Hai Chau Nguyen, that is, Mr. Nguyen Van Chau, former member of the Standing Committee, former Head of the Propaganda Department, now Propaganda Department of the Provincial Committee of the Party of Ben Tre) and Uncle Hai had known each other since 1960, working together in the propaganda profession.

In March 1977, after the 1st Provincial Party Congress of Ben Tre, my father was the Head of the Propaganda Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and Uncle Hai was the permanent deputy director. At that time, by chance, Aunt Hai (Mrs. Ho Cong Can, 75 years old, wife of Mr. Truong Vinh Trong) was also working with my mother at the Maternal and Child Protection Station of the Ben tre Department of Health.

Both the leader and the eldest, but my father loves and respects Hai Nghia from ethics, quality to lifestyle, especially work ability.

My deepest impression of Uncle Hai is sincerity, closeness, love for everyone, one after another. From when I worked in the Propaganda Department of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee until he was the leader of the Central Committee, my aunt and uncle spent time visiting my family, even when my father had retired and passed away. Every time I visit my house, I often go back and forth, visit the kitchen and see what rice is like at home. He often asked about each person in the house, asked my sisters how to study and work, and many times encouraged us to study, work and dedicate ourselves to my father’s example. Referring to these details, I miss Uncle Hai more.

Must keep the flag, towards a rich and strong homeland

When I was appointed by the Provincial Party Committee to be the Secretary of the Mo Cay Nam District Party Committee, Uncle Hai Nghia retired. That year, to celebrate Vietnam Teachers’ Day on November 20, I spoke with the District Party Committee to visit him and invite him to attend the ceremony. He happily accepted the invitation. It was perhaps the most meaningful and joyous celebration of Teacher’s Day in Vietnam at the time. Upon hearing the news that Uncle Hai attended, the District People’s Committee Hall had several hundred people attending that year, so it was packed. Along with the content of the ceremony, the highlight of the celebration was Uncle Hai’s talk about the teaching profession, the unforgettable memories of teachers and students in war bombs, about the pain and loss to keep a young revolutionary education firmly established. in his homeland, he was one of the teachers who taught during the war. Remaining the story of the uncle to share is the dissemination and dissemination of his inspiration to the audience, officials, teachers and students should continue to hold the flag, promote the tradition of the love of learning towards a rich and strong homeland.

On the same occasion, we took Uncle Hai to visit the heroic land of Dinh Thuy (Dinh Thuy, Phuoc Hiep, Binh Khanh, H. Mo Cay were the first three communes where the Dong Khoi Ben Tre movement broke out in 1960). place where you lived, worked in the revolution, taught. The base families during the war, the old students, the memories of a time worth living in made him very happy and moved; make us admire and admire. Walking on the road from Mo Cay to Dinh Thuy commune, crossing the 17.1 bridge, the Ong Bong bridge at that time was bad and degraded, he told us to do our best to rebuild the homeland, soon complete the local infrastructure. I’m glad that your wish has almost been fulfilled.

Someone knows the story. Before, I wondered why I had a relationship with Uncle Hai, so I didn’t come and go, “demanded side” to be “sponsored”, promoted to promotion. I don’t know what to say, I just asked again that Uncle Hai didn’t pray to anyone back then, only thanks to his virtue and talent that he got that credit.

Anyone who has ever lived, it’s time to go for eternity. But there are people whose death leaves a lot of pain and nostalgia in people. Uncle Hai Nghia – Truong Vinh Trong is one of those people. I don’t know if I’m subjective, when I generalize Uncle Hai is a sincere, generous – kindness, gratitude – faithful man.
