Consequently, the Thuong Nhat hydroelectric plant project, invested by Central Vietnam Hydropower Joint Stock Company, has a capacity of 11MW and has not been allowed to store water to operate.
However, in the last period, this hydroelectric plant did not comply with the instructions of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province on the management of water accumulation and the existing contents of the Thuong Nhat hydroelectric plant project.
Especially in Thua Thien Hue Province’s urgent response to Typhoon No. 9 response, the Central Hydropower Joint Stock Company required to operate 5 Thuong Nhat hydroelectric dam gates in a fully open state. and maintain this state. However, the investor did not strictly comply with the previous power of attorney.
To ensure compliance with the provisions of the law, the Department of Industry and Commerce of Thua Thien Hue province requested the Central Power Corporation not to purchase electricity from the aforementioned hydroelectric power station until the People’s Committee of the province of Thua Thien Hue allow water storage.
