According to the initial investigation, on the afternoon of December 22, Gön went home for a drink and found 4-year-old Mo Nam Chau Ngoc Khai, a 4-year-old baby (the son of Go’s sister-in-law) running around. Gô took the scissors to stab the baby’s left eye socket, putting the baby in mortal danger.
On December 23, Khai was transferred from Ninh Thuan General Hospital to Children’s Hospital 2 (Ho Chi Minh City) and had a patch on his sclera due to a traumatic brain injury.
Before that, at Children’s Hospital 2, nThe relative reported that the baby was stabbed in the left eye by a relative. Family members pulled out their own scissors before taking the baby to the emergency room at Ninh Thuan Provincial General Hospital.
On the afternoon of December 23, the baby was taken to Children’s Hospital 2 in a coma, with an eye injury. Doctors actively resuscitated the baby and then performed a CT scan of the brain. The results showed that there is a large bruise on the brain.
Doctors undergo cranial surgery to force out the ventricular drain. The child is still in a coma with a poor prognosis. With his left eye stabbed, doctors said he probably wouldn’t be spared.
According to Dr. Ngoc Dung, when a weapon is stabbed in a certain part of the body, the family members should not draw the weapon, but should immediately transfer the patient to the emergency facility.
