After 15 years of construction and development, the Phu Quoc district economy has always achieved a high and stable growth rate. There are 320 projects in the district, with a total registered investment capital of more than 340 billion dong.

In 2019, Phu Quoc welcomes more than 3 million domestic and foreign tourists. Along with economic development, the infrastructure system is invested with a large-scale, modern, synchronous urban space, gradually forming in the area. Phu Quoc district was recognized by the Prime Minister as a Grade II city in 2014.

There are many productive and commercial establishments, agencies, companies, schools and large projects in the area. It has made changes in the urban development process and step by step shaping urban lifestyle among people. Duong Dong City and An Thoi City were assessed as meeting 12/12 infrastructure development qualification standards to establish a neighborhood of Phu Quoc City. ” – Tan said.

After its establishment, Phu Quoc Town has 9 administrative units at the communal level, including: Duong Dong District, An Thoi District, and 7 communes: Ham Ninh, Duong To, Ganh Dau, Bai Thom, Cua Duong, Cua Can, Tho Chau. .
