According to the assessment, this platform is equivalent to developed countries, it even has many advantages that allow lower-level doctors to access technology more quickly. This solution is tailor-made according to the treatment protocol of the Ministry of Health, becoming an effective support arm for doctors and people.
So far, 27 central-level hospitals have participated in the project, saving the lives of nearly 300 difficult cases, of which the highest consultation meeting has more than 300 bridging points. The Ministry of Health has also built more than 10,000 specialty remotes.
Previously, the Ministry of Health had a plan for satellite hospitals to partially reduce overcrowding, but severe cases from lower levels still had to be transferred to higher levels or doctors from higher levels had to go directly to lower levels. Regarding the current biggest problem is the legal corridor in remote medical examination and treatment, Professor Long said that the Ministry is cooperating with the Vietnam Social Security and the Ministry of Finance to build a financial foundation to maintain the system in the long term. in the next time.
In the near future, when 5G becomes widely available in Vietnam, the Ministry of Health believes that the telehealth system will continue to grow, at which point doctors from all over the world will be able to participate in treating patients in Vietnam.
