Since July 25, when the first patient was registered in Da Nang during this phase of the epidemic (patient 416), the number of newly infected patients has exceeded half the number in the previous 6 months with 689 patients. In particular, related patients in Da Nang area were 549 cases.

However, the Ministry of Health reported that the number of new COVID-19 cases has dropped dramatically in the past week, especially in the Da Nang area. As of 0:00 today, August 29, according to the decision of Da Nang City People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh, Da Nang began to remove the medical isolation area in some areas, including the entire residential group 29, a part of residential group 30, 43, 44, Hoa Thuan Tay Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang.

Previously, Da Nang removed his quarantine from Da Nang Hospital. Since August 29, Da Nang implemented a social gap under Prime Minister’s Directive 16 for 1 month.

In the recent meeting with the Permanent Government, the Da Nang City People’s Committee suggested that from September, if there are no new mutations, the social gap by region will begin to loosen (both implement Directive 16, only 19 of the First Minister).
