Consequently, 40 new cases (patient 2230-2269) were registered in the country in Hanoi (2 cases) and Hai Duong (38 cases). Specifically:
Patient 2234 in Hanoi: female, 25 years old, living in Dien Bien neighborhood, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi;
Patient 2240 in Hanoi: male, 43 years old, Japanese nationality.
Both patients are F1 from patient 2229 (met on the same day 2-2), they were isolated, sampled on February 14. On February 15, the patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, 2 patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Patients 2230 – 2233, 2235 – 2239, 2241 – 2269 in Hai Duong: 38 cases were all previously isolated F1, mainly related to the outbreak in Chi Linh district. Currently, 29 cases have been isolated and treated at Field Hospital No. 1 (Chi Linh City Medical Center) and 9 cases have been isolated and treated at Field Hospital No. 2 (Hai Medical Technical University Ocean) .
With 40 new cases, the total number of COVID-19 patients registered since the beginning of the epidemic season in Vietnam is 2,269, of which there are 677 cases registered from January 27 to the present.
Also on February 15 (the fourth day of the Lunar New Year), about 100 Bach Mai Hospital employees returned to Hai Duong to support the installation and increase the capacity of the No. 2 Field Hospital in Hai Duong to 600 beds (currently 300-bed scale).
Field Hospital 2 is treating 115 Hai Duong COVID-19 patients, the number of transferred patients will increase in the coming days.
