On December 21, the case of 39 deaths of Vietnamese in a frozen container was brought to trial in the UK. According to Metro, the leader of the line that brings illegal immigrants to the UK is Gheorghe Nica (43), a dual British-Romanian national and truck driver Eamonn Harrison (23 years old) who lives in Northern Ireland. The British court has handed down a life sentence for involuntary manslaughter against these two individuals after 23 hours of consideration.

In addition, 5 defendants from the same line were also charged with a maximum penalty of 14 years in prison. The head of this line is Ronan Hughes. According to the police investigation, every month this tycoon earns a million pounds with his illegal line.

The prosecution said the defendants were well aware of the potential risks to the victims sitting in the cars. When the incident occurred, Hughes texted the driver via Snapchat saying: “Give them air, but don’t let them out”. When Robinson and Eamonn opened the container door at 1:13 a.m. local time on October 23, all the people inside were dead.

Photos from the scene show the victims trying to break down the door with a stick. Many people send messages to family members to say goodbye.
