HCMCThe Pham Ngu Lao District District 1 police car crashed motorcycles and workers swept up trash and rushed into a pub on Tay Bui Vien Street on the night of August 28.
Around 7:30 PM, a blue sea van leaving the Pham Ngu Lao District Police Headquarters on Bui Vien Street suddenly ran into an employee driving a motorcycle in the next bar.

The car dragged the motorcycle for about 30 meters and then hurtled down the opposite road, hitting the cleaning worker who was pushing the garbage cart. The car rushed to the sidewalk, ironed many tables and chairs from 3 pubs, crashed an electrical cabinet and 3 motorcycles before stopping on the road.
According to the store’s camera, a male employee sitting in a chair holding a phone arrived in time to flee when a service car ran into the electrical cabinet and fired many sparks. At that time, the road was narrow with traffic.

“My store just cleared the tables and chairs for sale, the van rushed in, luckily there were no customers seated,” said Van Minh Thuy, the owner of the bar, saying that after the accident there was a person in civilian clothes. Get out of the driver’s seat.
Dozens of people and the district police rushed to bring two head and leg injuries to Saigon General Hospital, more than a kilometer away.
At the scene, the location of the car that caused the accident was about 100 meters from the Pham Ngu Lao District Police Headquarters. Furniture washed away by cars was scattered over a few tens of meters. In front of the car, the motorcycles suffered serious damage.

Bui Vien Street is 850 meters long from the bow of Nguyen Thai Hoc – Tran Hung Dao Street to Cong Quynh. Since August 2017, this street city walks at night on weekends, attracting many visitors, having fun, including many foreigners.
This area has a multitude of bars, breweries, massages … active at night. However, after the outbreak of Covid-19, especially during the period of social isolation in Ho Chi Minh City in March, Tay Bui Vien Street was left deserted, no more bustling and crowded as before.
