Yonhap quoted Deputy Health Minister Kim Ganglip as saying that authorities were in the process of identifying the people who were present at the locations at the time, as well as family and close contacts. take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of viruses in the community.

Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun ordered officials to track and test Covid-19 for an estimated 1,510 people in that high-risk group. He asked the health authorities to guarantee the privacy and personal information of these people to encourage them to contact the authorities.

The mayor of Seoul also decreed today the suspension of the operation of clubs, bars and nightclubs in the city. This measure will remain in effect until the new municipal government announces the new decision.

As of May 9, South Korea recorded a total of 10,840 positive cases of the new coronavirus strain and the number of deaths unchanged in recent days was 256 people.

Chung emphasized that the success or failure of Korean restrictions on the epidemic depends on whether the country can stop the spread of the new strain of the coronavirus in Seoul.
