Meanwhile, according to VN Express, a landslide in the early morning of October 18 in Quang Tri province caused more than 20 soldiers to be considered buried.

The area of ​​the landslide was reported to be over a hectare wide, causing rocks to fall into the house of 337 Economic Defense Group, where there are many soldiers. Only a few traces of the house remain.

VN Express quoted a source as saying that in this landslide, 5 people were rescued and another 22 suspected of being buried, including 4 officers, 10 professional soldiers and 8 soldiers.

An emergency mission was established and the advance command board in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, was led by the permanent vice chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee to rescue people in distress.
