After the question session this afternoon (November 9), the Standing Committee of the National Assembly held the session to give opinions on the work of the staff, including the presentation to the National Assembly for its approval of the appointment of the Governor of the Bank State of Vietnam. replacing Mr. Le Minh Hung.

Speaking to reporters about this, Task Force Chief Delegate Tran Van Tuy said: In accordance with the Government personnel plan, the person who was presented to present to the National Assembly for approval for appointment as Governor of the State Bank is Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, current deputy governor of SBV.

According to the schedule, on the morning of November 11, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will submit to the approval of the National Assembly the removal of the Minister of Science and Technology of Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, as he received the new assignment and currently Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee. At the same time, the National Assembly also approved the dismissal of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam for Mr. Le Minh Hung, who was appointed as Head of the Party Central Committee Office.

The personnel process will be approved by the National Assembly by secret ballot.

Lieutenant Governor Nguyen Thi Hong was born in 1968 and is from Hanoi. Before becoming Deputy Governor from August 25, 2014 until now, Ms. Hong used to hold the position of Head of the Monetary Policy Department of the State Bank of Vietnam.

Currently, the State Bank has 4 Vice Governors: Mr. Dao Minh Tu, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Mr. Nguyen Kim Anh, and Mr. Doan Thai Son.
