On the morning of October 15, representatives of the Presidium of the XIV Provincial Party Congress of Soc Trang, period 2020-2025, announced the results of the first meeting of the new Provincial Party Committee. Mr. Lam Van Man (50 years old), Undersecretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial People’s Council, was elected secretary of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee.

Two Undersecretaries of the Provincial Committee of the Soc Trang Party are Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao (48 years old, Head of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Delegation of the National Assembly of the Province of Soc Trang) and Colonel Tran Van Lau (50 years old, Commander military commander of Soc Trang province).
The first meeting of the Executive Committee of the XIV Provincial Party Committee also elected 15 people to the Standing Committee, 11 members of the Inspection Committee (UBKT) of the Provincial Committee of the Soc Trang Party. Mr. Nguyen Van Thong was re-elected as Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Technical Committee.
Mr. Lam Van Man is from Phu Tam Commune, Chau Thanh District. The new Secretary of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee is Khmer, has a law degree and a doctorate in economics.
Before being elected Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Soc Trang Province People’s Council at the end of 2015, Mr. Man used to work as Deputy Head of the Office of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee; Deputy Secretary, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chau Thanh District and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Soc Trang Province.
Mr. Man is currently an alternate member of the Party Central Committee.
