Source of PLO confirming that the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court has just issued a decision to take the case of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tai (former Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee) and eight accomplices to be prosecuted for irresponsibility, causing serious consequences to trial.

The decision was signed by the presiding judge of Pham Luong Toan (President of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court). The trial is scheduled for January 18 and 19, 2021.

This is a case related to the violation of the exchange of real estate 58 Cao Thang (District 3) for real estate 185 Hai Ba Trung (HCMC), causing damage to the State for 186 billion VND.

Mr. Tai and Mr. Vi Nhat Tao, Tran Nam Trang (former Deputy Director of the Department of Finance), Nguyen Thanh Rum (former Director of the Department of Culture, Information and Tourism), Le Ton Thanh (former Deputy Director of the Department of Culture information and tourism), Dao Anh Kiet (former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Thanh Nhan (former Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City ) and Huynh Kim Phat, Le Van Thanh (together with the former deputy head of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Office) was prosecuted under clause 2 of article 285 of the Penal Code in 1999.

In connection with this case, the giant woman Duong Thi Bach Diep (born 1948 Director of Diep Bach Duong Company) was prosecuted for defrauding assets under Clause 4, Article 174 of the Penal Code of 2015 as amended. figs in 2017.

In September, Mr. Tai and his subordinates appeared in court for land allocation violation no. 8-12 Le Duan, District 1. The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court sentenced Mr. Tai to eight years in prison for violating the rules on management and use. State property causes loss and waste. She only committed to Agribank that after the asset conversion, 185 Hai Ba Trung of the company will replace 57 Cao Thang as general collateral for her company’s loans in this bank.

However, after receiving the pink book at 185 Hai Ba Trung, Ms. Diep did not fulfill her commitment. On February 4, 2013, he took this property to borrow from Phuong Nam Commercial Stock Bank (now Sacombank), currently, the principal balance is 99.288 billion dong, the interest debt is 123.505 billion. The indictment said there are sufficient grounds to determine that Ms. Diep seized the state property in 185 Hai Ba Trung worth more than 186 billion VND.
