On the afternoon of November 6, information from Ton Duc Thang University, Mr. Le Vinh Danh was assigned to the Faculty of Finance and Banking of this school. Specific tasks will be assigned by the Dean.
This decision was made on January 5, in accordance with the proposal of the Department of Administrative Organization of Ton Duc Thang University and the aspirations of Mr. Le Vinh Danh.
Mr. Le Vinh Danh (57 years old, from Quang Ngai), worked at Ton Duc Thang University since 1999, he worked as director of this school from July 2007 to October 2020.
He has a Ph.D. in International Finance from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand) and is a postdoctoral fellow in the Fulbright Scholar Program at George Washington University (USA). from the University of Ho Chi Minh City. His research interests include: state policy, economic policy, international finance, and monetary policy.
Before that, in early August, Mr. Le Vinh Danh was suspended from the post of Secretary of the Party Committee. On September 18, he was removed from all Party positions by the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City College.
On the afternoon of October 23, the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam announced the decision of the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam on the work of the staff at Ton Duc Thang University. Consequently, Mr. Le Vinh Danh was removed from the post of Rector of Ton Duc Thang University due to many violations, such as the appointment of wrong officials; purchase equipment in contravention of regulations; lack of examples in the declaration of assets and income …
Most recently, on November 21, the delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training headed by Vice Minister Hoang Minh Son came to work with Ton Duc Thang University to consolidate the leadership and key staff of this school. The trip aims to review, revise and guide the implementation of the provisions of the Higher Education Law on the establishment of the school council and consolidate the leadership and management positions of the school. On that basis, there will be specific implementation instructions and conclusions.
