The victim died was Ms. B.T.T (27 years old, residing on Moi Street, Me village, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province) and her grandson N.T.P (11 years old, her daughter T).
Records of the incident said that on 8/5, the Gia Vien district had blackouts. T’s family has generators to use appliances while at home.
On the morning of May 9, Mrs. T did not leave the room, so the maid knocked on the door, but did not answer.
Suspecting that something was wrong, the maid called a neighbor and opened the door to find her sister T and her son unconscious in bed.
Soon after, everyone took Ms. T and her mother to the Gia Vien District General Hospital for emergency treatment. But the P grandchildren were determined to be dead. And Ms. T, who was in a deep coma, was immediately transferred to the emergency room of the Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi) but did not survive, she died at dawn this morning on May 10.
Through examination of the scene and investigation of the incident, the Gia Vien District Police determined that the cause of death of the two victims was caused by suffocation of a generator in a closed room.
