On 10/5, Gia Vien District Police (Ninh Binh) said that in the incident area, two mothers and their children choked the generator while they were asleep, resulting in death.

Colonel Pham Van Hoi, head of the Gia Vien District Police Department, said that on May 8, the Gia Vien District had a power outage, causing the family of Ms. B.T.T. (SN 1993, New Town, Me Town) uses generators to use appliances while sleeping.

On the morning of May 9, Mrs. T. did not leave the room, the maid knocked on the door, but did not see the door open. The maid opened the door and found T. and her son N.T.P (SN 2009) lying on the bed as if they were sleeping.

Calling and not seeing the mother and daughter get up, the maid approached, then discovered that they were unconscious. Immediately, the host’s mother and daughter were rushed to the Gia Vien District General Hospital for emergency treatment, but P. died later.

Ms. T. was in a deep coma, she was transferred to the emergency room of the Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi), but she did not survive either, she died at dawn on 10/5.

Initially, the Gia Vien District Police identified 2 victims due to the gas-tight room generator.
