Mr. Phan Thanh Cong, 28, owner of the first lumber factory that caught fire, recalls that “the fire was coming from behind the workshop, it was going so fast that we couldn’t turn back. In a few dozen minutes, the fire was covered. head of the factory and spread to the surroundings “. Most of the wooden pots inside Mr. Cong’s log shop were charred.

According to Mr. Phan Lac Truong, chairman of the Huu Bang Commune People’s Committee, the fire spread in an area with more than 10 wooden workshops, each workshop area from several tens of meters to more than 200 square meters. “It is estimated that thousands of square meters of factories were burned, fortunately there was no harm to people,” Truong said.

Dozens of police officers and 5 fire trucks arrived at the scene, spraying cannons from many directions to put out the fire. Hundreds of locals also turned out to help wood factory owners move their furniture, so as not to spread the fire. Until 11 in the morning, the fire was controlled.
