“Many houses have been flooded for almost 3 days, without being able to leave. Due to the high water level, the village has sent several experienced people in rowing boats to buy food. Those who have nothing to do will stay home to ensure safety, ”said Nguyen Huu Long.
According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Da Nang City, at 7:00 am on the same day, the 9/11 communes (61 villages, 4,597 households) were flooded in the district of Hoa Vang. the villages of Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong and Hoa Khuong communes were deeply flooded.
In order to ensure the safety of the population, the Hoa Vang District Government transferred more than 2,500 people from 752 households to a safe place, of which the Hoa Khuong Commune was the largest with more than 1,400 people.
At noon the same day, 4 missing persons were not found, including: 1 person in Hoa Khuong, 1 person in Hoa Ninh commune and 2 fishermen from the boat Đa 90988-TS missing at sea. Authorities are actively looking for people in danger.
