Earlier on the morning of October 29, the Nghe An Border Guard coordinated with the Nam Can International Border Guard Station (Ky Son District, Nghe An Province) and the Gate Customs Office of International Borders. Nam Can organized the arrest of a group of criminals who traded and transported drugs from Laos to Vietnam.
After it was determined that this group would carry drugs across the border in the area of Tien Tieu village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, the competent forces secretly agreed to monitor.

Upon reviewing the discarded backpack, authorities discovered that the interior contained 30 heroin cakes.
Colonel Tran Hai Binh, Commander of the Nghe An Border Guard Command was present in this area to order the border forces to coordinate with the Laos border guard force to arrest the above-mentioned suspicious group.
