Early this morning (October 25) a tropical depression in the eastern central region of the Philippines strengthened into a storm, known internationally as Molave.
At 1 o’clock, the position of the center of the Molave storm was approximately 13.4 degrees north latitude; 127.8 degrees east longitude, about 350 km east of the central Philippine coast. The strongest wind in the area near the center of strong storms is level 8 (60 – 75 km / hour), level 10.
The typhoon is forecast to move in a northwesterly direction over the next 24 hours, at about 20 km per hour, and continue to increase. At 1 o’clock on October 26, the location of the center of the storm was approximately 13.7 north latitude; 122.5 degrees east longitude, in the Central Philippines region. The strongest wind near the center of strong storms level 9 (75 – 90km / h), level 11.
For the next 24 to 48 hours, the typhoon moved mainly westward, every hour traveled between 20 and 25 km, entered the South China Sea and was likely to get stronger. At 1:00 a.m. on October 27, the storm’s position was approximately 13.7 north latitude; 117.3 degrees east longitude, about 390 km from West Song Tu Island to the northeast. The strongest wind in the area near the center of strong storms is level 10 (90 – 100 km / h), level 12.
Over the next 48 to 72 hours, the typhoon moved westward, traveling at 20-25 km per hour and potentially getting stronger.
