Twelve new cases (BN1483-1494) were isolated immediately after their entry into Hanoi (5 persons), Phu Yen province (7 persons). As follows:
– Case 1483 (BN1483) registered in Hanoi: female, 43 years old, South African nationality.
– Case 1484 (BN1484) registered in Hanoi: female, 73 years old, South African nationality.
– Case 1485 (BN1485) registered in Hanoi: male, 12 years old, South African nationality.
South Africa’s BN1483-1485 entered Noi Bai Airport on flight QR976 on December 31, 2020, isolated in the Soc Son district, Hanoi, just after the entry. Taking samples on January 1, 2021, test results on January 2, 2021 at the Hanoi Center for Disease Control were positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
– Case 1486 (BN1486) registered in Hanoi: female, 54 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Dong Da District, Hanoi City.
– Case 1487 (BN1487registered in the city of Hanoi: male, 69 years old, Vietnamese nationality, residing in Dong Da district, Hanoi city.
BN1486 – 1487 from Mexico transited to France, then entered Van Don airport on flight VN18 on December 31, 2020, quarantined in Hanoi just after entry. Taking samples on January 1, 2021, test results on January 2, 2021 at the Hanoi Center for Disease Control were positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
– Case 1488 (BN1488): male, 51 years old, age, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh city.
– Case 1489 (BN1489): female, 17 years old, age, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in District 7, HCMC.
– Case 1490 (BN1490): male, 20 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Tay Ho district, Hanoi.
– Case 1491 (BN1491): male, 40 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong.
– Case 1492 (BN1492): female, 28 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi.
– Case 1493 (BN1493): male, 53 years old, age, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province.
– Case 1494 (BN1494: male, 43 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Quang Ngai City, Quang Ngai.
BN 1488-1494 from the USA Transited through Incheon, South Korea and then entered Cam Ranh International Airport on flight VN441 on January 1, 2021, isolated in Phu Yen province immediately after entry .
Tests at Phu Yen Provincial General Hospital on January 1, 2020 for BN1488 – 1491 and on January 2, 2020 for BN1492 – 1494 have presumably positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Test results at the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute dated 2-1-2021 for BN1488-1491 and January 3, 2020 for BN1492-1494 confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Phu Yen Provincial General Hospital.
With 12 new patients, the number of COVID-19 in Vietnam since the start of the service has approached 1,500 cases (to 1,494 patients), of which 1,339 have been cured and discharged from the hospital. In the first two days of the new year, authorities registered the illegal entry of 364 people, mainly from the border with China and Cambodia to Vietnam.
