Mr. Tu said: Thach Thang commune is not a town on the river, so people don’t buy boats. During the last days of rain, the entire commune had more than 1,000 deeply flooded homes, so the Thach Ha Popular Committee sent several boats and canoes to help evacuate some homes from the heavily flooded area.

“Our town was deeply flooded for the first time like this, but so far it has not happened. Currently, the flood water has receded, but still some 600 houses are still flooded almost 1 m, “said Tu.

According to Mr. Tu, in order to promptly bring relief items to isolated homes, the Thach Ha People’s Committee organized about 7 boats for the commune. However, in the past few days, due to too many of the relief team returning, it was impossible to organize boats for all groups.

“Every group that returns wants to have boats to transport relief items for the people. We appreciate your hearts. But to enter an isolated house, it takes half a day by boat and the road is very difficult. Therefore, other relief missions that want to enter will have to wait. However, now, basically, people living in flooded areas are receiving relief food, ”explained Mr. Tu.
